Connecting the Machine

  1. 1Place the floor grinder on a flat, stable surface in your work area.
  2. 2Connect the 25m extension lead to the grinder power cord — ensure connections are secure.
  3. 3Plug the extension lead into a 10A power outlet.
  4. 4Connect the dust extractor hose to the grinder dust port (rear of machine).
  5. 5Switch the dust extractor to AUTO mode — it auto-starts with the grinder.
  6. 6Fit your selected diamond grinding disc and ensure it is locked correctly.
  7. 7Hold the machine firmly before switching on.

  1. 1Wear your PPE: P2/P3 dust mask, safety glasses, hearing protection, closed-toe shoes.
  2. 2Ensure all bystanders are clear before switching on.
  3. 3Switch on and allow the grinder to reach full speed before lowering onto the surface.
  4. 4Lower the machine gently — never drop it onto the concrete.
  5. 5Move in overlapping rows like mowing a lawn. Keep a consistent pace.
  6. 6Do not stop in one spot — keep moving to avoid grinding too deep.
  7. 7After each pass, inspect the surface. Repeat over stubborn spots.
  8. 8Lift machine clear of surface before switching off.

  1. 1Switch the grinder OFF immediately before investigating.
  2. 2Check the power outlet — the circuit breaker may have tripped.
  3. 3Check the extension lead at both ends — ensure fully plugged in.
  4. 4Check for visible damage to the cord — do not use if damaged.
  5. 5Ensure no sharp bends or kinks in the extension lead.
  6. 6Allow motor to cool 5-10 minutes if overheated.
  7. 7If power keeps cutting out, contact us immediately.
  8. 8Do not attempt to open or repair the machine.

  1. 1Switch OFF grinder and extractor before emptying.
  2. 2Wait 30 seconds for dust to settle.
  3. 3Wear your P2/P3 dust mask before handling the bag.
  4. 4Remove the dust bag carefully — handle gently to avoid releasing dust.
  5. 5Double-bag the waste in sealed plastic bags.
  6. 6Never dry-sweep or blow out grinding dust — always dampen first.
  7. 7Check and clear the filter if blocked.
  8. 8Refit bag securely before restarting.

  1. 1SILICA DUST: Always use H-Class dust extraction AND a P2/P3 respirator. Both required.
  2. 2PPE: Safety glasses, dust mask, hearing protection, and closed-toe footwear at all times.
  3. 3ELECTRICAL: Inspect cords before use. Never use if damaged.
  4. 4BYSTANDERS: Keep all people, especially children, away from the work area.
  5. 5IMPAIRMENT: Never operate under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  6. 6EMERGENCY: Injury — call 000. Equipment issue — contact us immediately.
  7. 7INSPECTION: Check grinding disc before each session for chips or cracks.
  8. 8RETURN: Photograph equipment before returning to protect your bond.
